Description
Willy Dannerfjord (1904-1960), Danish painter.
He actually trained as a carver, but didn’t get so much out of it when he fell for painting.
He is best known for his atmospheric works of snow-covered landscapes, sold at home and abroad, which are technically good naturalistic paintings with bright colors and fine light effects.
He often came to Lkken, where he stayed at the Lkken Badehotel, and together with his son Finn went to the dunes around the town to make sketches.
On one of his summer visits, he painted the magnificent picture of the sisters’ holiday home in Lkken.
On a trip to Oslo, he brought a painting to King Olav, who had expressed a wish to become the owner of one of his paintings.
The motif probably came from Norway, where he painted motifs of the Ringkollen. Later Willy Dannerfjord traveled to Spain, France and many other European countries.
The painting is in acrylic paint on canvas and in a beautiful frame.
Both the painting and the frame are in good condition, with some light signs of use.
Good condition with normal light signs of use. The dimensions given include the wooden frame.
