Description
This lamp is very special, with a story behind it.We bought it to a gentleman art dealer, his grandfather grew up in the same building where Anne Frank & relatives lived and were finally captured. It comes from the adjoining house, known as the front house. This man took The lamps and some furnitures when he rent The building to Otto Frank (Annas father). Times goes by and This man gave the lamps to his grandson shortly before he died and finally, in a gesture of kindness, he decided to give one to us.It is a lamp that marked an era and is still working. He told us that his grandfather bought The Lamp in France and then he Took with him to Holland. This lamp is a hook with three lights holders on which this precious Glass plate is mounted. A real collector’s item for history. We do not know the manufacturer and the designer, we only know that it is from the early 30s. Nor is it necessary to know more when The Object comes from that place, so significant for the History of humanity.Very special item, with a very special history behind.
