Description
Robert Carroll is an american artist born in 1934 in Painesville, Ohio. He has been studying Arts at the Cleveland Institute of Arts where he graduated in 1957. Since the end of 1950s he has been associating with some of the most important writers and intellectuals of the beat generation, such as Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac. He did work a lot with the american artist Willem de Kooning, who introduced him to cultural circles some of the most important cites in Europe, when he moved in 1959. Since the 1960s he attended many personal and collective exhibitions all over the world and, since mid 1980s, he did an important research on multimedia art.
