Description
A beautiful pair of chairs with high backrest “Chiavarine”, expertly built in the 60s in Chiavari – a city renowned for the production of chairs since the early 19th century. Made with French polished beech wood in mahogany color and hand woven rod, these chairs are not only elegant but also extraordinarily light, with a weight less than 3.00 kg each.
The inspiration for the base of the Chiavarine design had a significant impact on the world of design, including the famous Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti. His light chair in the early 1950s and the Superleggera chair in 1958 were both influenced by the robust and light structure of Chiavarine.
Our skilled craftsmen have meticulously restored the structures of these Chiavarine chairs and the sessions are characterized by a new woven and knotted rod, made with the ancient techniques kept in Chiavari. This testifies to the dedication and skill of the craftsmen who work in Chiavari, ensuring that these chairs will last for years.
As a proud company of being located in Chiavari, we have an internal canalization laboratory that follows the ancient techniques of the region. We are excited to offer you these delicious chairs and we hope you can appreciate the beauty and skill of these timeless pieces.
