A beautiful bright oil on canvas depicting the wonderful coastal town of Bohuslan, Sweden. Signed by artist Helge Lindahl.
Both painting and frame in very good vintage condition.

Helge Eugen Lindahl was a Swedish artist born on December 10, 1898, in Kalmar, Sweden. He pursued art studies at the Sljdfreningens skola in Gothenburg under Hjalmar Eldh from 1921 to 1924, and later at the Acadmie de la Grande Chaumire in Paris in 1927. Throughout his career, Lindahl traveled for short study trips to countries including Denmark in 1924, France between 1947 and 1948, and Italy. He was known for his figurative works and landscapes characterized by harmonious coloration. His art is part of collections at institutions such as the Kalmar Art Museum and the Gothenburg City Museum. In 1930, he married Karin Dagny Fredrika Fredholm, and they had a son, Cai Lindahl-Sonesson, who became a textile artist. Helge Lindahl passed away in 1985.
