Frode Kierulf:
Danish painter, decorator, illustrator; He was the youngest of five children of the flat dealer Carl Julius Kierulf and his wife Angelica Josephine, born plaskett; initially painting apprenticeship; 1907-11 studied at the Copenhagen Art Academy (with Otto Bache and Viggo Johansen); 1911-13 together with Aksel Jorgensens he decorated the Riddersal Theater (Frederiksberg); 1914 K.A. Larsen scholarship; 02/20/1917 Marriage with Elvira Pehrsson; 1917-18 he decorated the guldalersal (Roskilde); He designed figure and stage sets for theater; 1921 K.A. Larsen scholarship; From 1922 he created illustrations on short stories, novels and newspapers (including Aftenbladet Sndag and Dansk Familieblad); Numerous study trips to Italy (1920-21, 1923, 1925, 1928, 1938), to the Netherlands, to Belgium, France (1930), to Germany, in Czechoslovakia (1931); Works are owned by the Bornholm Art Museum
