An elegant, round, layered Art Deco ceiling pendant light featuring a lampshade – a bowl – of white alabaster with dark brown and black veins. France, around 1920. This beautifully veined alabaster bowl is suspended by three chains accompanied by a matching alabaster canopy. The light shining through the white stone with dark brown and black veins is atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit. The fixture has a new socket compatible with E27 (E26) size light bulbs. Dimensions: – Height: approximately 44 cm (17.32 in) – Diameter: 40 cm (15.74 in) The light fixture is in good condition, showing some typical signs of use and aging of alabaster. There are several white stains in the center of the alabaster lampshade/bowl.
