Description

Scala 1:87 H0.

The SNCF (National Society of French railways) (SNCF) is a major French public companies. It exercises the dual railway company activities retained by a part of the commercial exploitation of railway transport services, passenger and freight, and also operates the exploitation and maintenance of the French national railway network.
History
The SNCF was created on 1 January 1938 by the government of Camille Chautemps instead of the five existing companies across the Alps.
At the time it was a joint stock company of mixed economy, created for a duration of 45 years, including the state owned 51% of the capital while the remaining 49% belonged to shareholders of the above companies. The staff had the status of a public official.
On December 31, 1982, the 1937 Convention came to an end and the whole SNCF returned to the hands of the state, which gave a new statute. The SNCF, became un’EPIC (tablissement public caractre industriel et commercial) (Structure in Public Character Industrial and Commercial) and its employees were no longer considered officials.

The Lima S.p.A. (Lima Models) is a firm of Vicenza from the mid-1950s until 2004 realized model railways.
He reproduced mainly models in H0 scale (1:87), but also in N scale (1: 160) and 0 (1:45). He exported throughout most of Europe, USA and South America, Australia and South Africa. For the UK market produced rail vehicles in scale 00.
In the eighties, following the contraction of the toy train market, a sector in which Lima was among the world leaders, the firm ran into severe difficulties, and began to bet on a production model.
History
La Lima, Italian Metalworking and Allied Products was founded in Vicenza in 1946, as a specialized company for the repair and construction of the aluminum parts of railway carriages damaged during the just ended war. But soon the Railways organized arsenals to achieve these repairs internally and Lima is reconverted to the production of metal toys: prams, strollers for dolls, pots, pots, boats and cars.
In 1954 Ottorino Bisazza (who died in 1987), then director of the Marzotto, bought this small factory owned by a relative of the Count Marzotto.
The railway era model was driven, in Italy, from Como Rivarossi, competitor of foreign giants named Mrklin and Fleischmann: sophisticated productions for an adult audience with high prices. ”The intuition of Bisazza,” says the former sales director Silvio Conti, ”was that, if the market was likened to a pyramid, these brands will only occupied the summit. It remained to conquer the entire base, which is the thickest part, populated by children and their families. ”
