Description
A beautiful antique Victorian walnut and oak specimen chest. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.
It is of extremely fine quality and is a lovely size, perfect for placing around the home on a cabinet or side table. These were designed for collectors to store small objects or trinkets etc. It is perfect for use as a jewelry box as well.
The top and frame are mostly solid walnut, with inset oak panelling on the doors. There is beautiful carving on the door fronts, the interior is nicely fitted out with drawers and a cabinet, this comes with a locking key.
We have had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age, with just some minor wear here and there.
