Description
Proof in regula with brown patina entitled “Retour des Vendanges” by Auguste Moreau (1834-1917).
A renowned French sculptor, brother of Mathurin and Hippolyte Moreau, this artist is distinguished by his romantic approach to classical works.
Here he creates a sculpture in motion where a young boy raises a garland of flowers above his head. Dressed in loose clothing, he walks naked on a bed of flowers and vegetation. His face, surrounded by beautiful curls, is smiling and turned towards the sky.
Ode to youth, joy and nature, this work has a beautiful patina that reflects the light.
