Description
The Berber rugs of Azilal origin come from the High Atlas area and are renowned for their white background and the softness of the wool, combined with the use of cotton and other fibers to define the designs. These rugs not only follow the traditional symbolism of the region, but are also the result of the artistic inspiration of the woman who created them. For this reason, each rug can be considered a unique and non-reproducible art object.
The shepherd tribes of the Atlas Mountains often use wool to make their carpets; generally with a natural colored background and dark lines in natural brown or black; or designs inspired by the remote past of these tribes. This choice of materials gives the rugs an authentic and warm look, perfect for any environment. Furthermore, the dimensions of Azilal rugs are on average slightly smaller than those typical of Beni Ourain rugs, making them more suitable for intimate spaces.
Choosing an Azilal rug means not only enriching your home with a unique piece, but also bringing with you a fragment of Berber culture and tradition.
