Vintage Louis XV Style Bronze Wall Coat Rack and Shelf, 1960s for sale at Pamono

Bronze and Brass, vintage coat rack with a top shelf, with three large knobs and four hooks from France, circa 1960s.

The structure and side brackets are made of bronze also referred as bronze rocaille with its reddish color while the bar of the shelf have a brass colored finish.

This unique piece is both practical for hanging coats, hats or umbrellas, while presenting a very rococo, design in the style of Louis XV /Napoleon III that also serves as cool wall dcor. The top twisted brass shelf is an added bonus whether one wishes to use it for shoes, scarves, folded towels, or even as a shelf for plants.

The 3 large hooks are rounded-shaped with floral pattern making it easy to hang jackets or else. The four additional hooks are sturdy enough to hang hats or scarfs, etc.

Maker’s mark C G R is present at back as well as the mention ART20/25 Brevett.

In overall very good , original vintage condition, with light signs of age and use commensurate with time and a patina of time on the body and hooks (see photos) and shelf . It has only been gently cleaned with respect to the original patina.

A perfect piece , that will compliment any given environment, be it MCM, contemporary, traditional, etc. Use in an entry hallway, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or other.
