Description
Item :
Beautiful polychrome and vitrified ceramic sculpture, depicting Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as a child, famous composer of the 1700s, created by the important Austrian manufacturer Goldscheider, signed and numbered on the back. The artist’s incised signature, “Perigot”, is also present on the base. The sculpture was created in full Liberty – Art Noveau style, and can be dated between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. The polychromy is very bright, note the beauty of the bodice entirely decorated by hand with floral decorations, the rich vitrification is very brilliant and the extremely expressive pose of the depicted subject is particularly beautiful, intent on reading the newly written music.
