Description
A vintage Persian hand knotted wool pile lion tribal rug. Circa 1980.
The rug is woven on a wool foundation, with a pictorial design of a large lion around birds over a ruby red field. The two borders designed with geometric pattern, tribal flowers and bird motifs. Showing beautiful colour tone variations.
The rug has been professionally cleaned. There are signs of use and there is a colour bleed to the border to one side, this was present before the clean. Please refer to the photographs.
