Calm coastal landscape by Damin Segarra Codina, Catalan artist born in 1936. Of national relevance, he has exhibited in different cities of our country. Calm and peaceful landscape thanks to the multitude of bluish and greenish tones. Sumptuous technique, with densities of matter that the brush rakes. This painter from Badalona began to be renowned for his marine compositions and for those in which exquisite women moved, eventually ending up in the net landscape painting because he was pushed to it by the tastes of the people. Signed lower right.
Antonio Cobos, art critic of the newspaper “YA”, wrote: “The power of attraction of Segarra Codina’s painting is so unusual that its reasons must be found in the existence of a retina, so abnormal for its sharpness, which allows the artist to perceive what is imperceptible to others. This is the only way to conceive the reds and cadmiums that explode among shady greenery, or that settle in floral spurts on whitewashed wall backgrounds”.
