Description
A group of four animal sculptures by Archimede Seguso (1909-1999) Italy made circa 1970 comprising of a dog, bird, rabbit and seal in solid opaque glass, foil label to one example ‘Archimede Seguso Murano’ Archimede Seguso was born on the island of Murano. His family’s glass artisan heritage dates back 23 generations to 1575. He created figurative objects of animal sculptures whose appearance and quality have a life appearance and character, so much so that Archimede Seguso earned the title of “maestro di animali” of the birds, rabbits, seals and dogs which he would he become famous for.
